For emergence only? Looks good.
For working on a car? Buy a real jack and jack stand.
I don't know if you guys have Craftstman, but their torque gun is pretty good for the price.

Yeah, emergency only.

Overtightened lugnuts are the most annoying thing on planet earth.

Since it's a 12v power supply, it might not be enough to break lose the nuts. Is there not an extended bar you could buy instead?

That's where this thing comes in handy.

Probably, that's just an example. I don't know which one I might buy.

I have an air powered one that claims approx 300 lb/ft. It struggles or tries rounding off a lugnut with 100.

I'd be a bit wary about relying on battery power in an emergency. Just when you need it most you realise the battery is flat from under use. A good 1/2" breaker bar with the correct socket should do all the work you need it to, maybe an axle stand too, I don't fully trust jacks when wiggling off a tyre.

I doubt it'll help. Suicide (scissor) jacks are scary enough, I wouldn't add another point of failure. A 12v impact won't help you remove anything. Waste in my book, that money could go towards a nice jack an breaker bar from harbor freight (here in the states).

for an electric impact.. Milwaukee m18 fuel 1/2 in. I had a default before and I gave it to my brother, the m18 Will snap lugs if you crank them to tight.

I could charge using the car outlet. I just seems easier and faster using a gun than all that work that comes with a normal tire changing kit.

The main thing is the gun, the jack I don't care for.

I'll look into that.

Certainly a lot less scraped knuckles :)

If it's at home use for your car get a lithium 20v 1/2" impact. Any will do, but I have had experience with dewalt and no complaints. It'll be plenty portable and only takes about 15 mins to recharge. Rips out any bolt with ease.

I can't speak to the brand in the video, but I've had success with DeWalt's 18V cordless impact and a Harbor Freight (so probably Chicago Electric or DrillMaster, more likely CE) electric impact to good success. If I'm just rotating the tires at home, they work well, and are a lot faster and quieter than firing up my air compressor and waiting for it to fill before using my Ingersoll-Rand pneumatic impact guns. Makita and Milwaukee also make some nice impact drivers.

I've never had problems with makita, I'll look into that.
